For this year’s Antitrust Advent Calendar we turned to some very renowned and prominent figures from the field and asked them one question: What is your advice to people starting with antitrust law these days? Today, Eleanor M. Fox gives her answer:

Follow your star. Imagine what is needed and stay in touch with what is possible. You are entering this amazing field at a time of transformative technology and power of a sort we have not known. We look to you to save us from becoming our own robots.

Eleanor M. Fox is the Walter J. Derenberg Professor of Trade Regulation at New York University School of Law. For her outstanding contribution to the antitrust community she was awarded the GCR Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011 and the ASCOLA Award in 2015.
